SUMON
Application: Ultra‑low‑power electrochemical sensing for disposable / sustainable biosensing test strips and devices, with smartphone interaction via NFC. Targeted sensing includes glucose, pH, sodium/potassium and temperature, in multi‑analyte configurations.
Short Description: SUMON is a CSEM-designed SoC / ASIC platform for electrochemical sensing that integrates:
- A multi‑channel electrochemical analog front end (AFE) supporting multiple electroanalytical methods (voltammetric, amperometric, potentiometric)
- Dual-mode data transfer: wireless NFC and wired SPI
- Dual-mode power supply: energy harvesting from NFC field or low‑voltage battery, with on‑chip power management (BMU/PMU) and integrated charge pump
- Self‑sufficient operation (on‑chip clocks and voltage/current references; minimal external pins focused on electrodes, NFC/SPI, and power)
Designed in an advanced GF 22nm CMOS context for the multi‑channel NFC ASIC generation
