Apply for SwissChips funding for your IC designs
Would you like to apply for SwissChips support to get your ICs manufactured? If you are currently a researcher at a Swiss university or university of applied science, submit your IC design proposals for a chance to have your IC manufacturing costs covered!
SwissChips will support the manufacturing costs for selected IC designs for research and teaching projects.
We accept applications from researchers at Swiss universities and universities of applied sciences to support full or part of the manufacturing costs for your project.
Our technical evaluation committee, consisting of six members from universities, university of applied sciences and research centers, will review and evaluate applications quarterly, and for smaller budgets, on a rolling basis.
The next evaluation will be on July 1, 2025. Please submit your applications by June 24 to be considered for the next round.
We will also evaluate applications for smaller budgets on a rolling basis, provided they meet the following criteria:
- the requested amount is not more than CHF 25'000,
- the institution of the project team is a Swiss university or university of applied science and must be external to the SwissChips partner institutions (ETH Zurich, EPFL, CSEM),
- complete application information is received using our template (below).

Our evaluation schedule will be updated and posted on our WP1: IC Design Infrastructure page, so please check there for the latest info.
We will publish the accepted designs in our Chip Gallery once they are released!
