Apply for SwissChips funding for your IC designs
Would you like to apply for SwissChips support to get your ICs manufactured? If you are currently a researcher at a Swiss university or university of applied science, submit your IC design proposals for a chance to have your IC manufacturing costs covered!
Design your own chip at our Tiny Tapeout workshop in June
Are you interested in learning more about chips and excited about designing your own? We are too! Join us for our Tiny Tapeout workshop, design your own chip, and be part of the first run (planned for September 2025) to have the workshop designs manufactured on a chip. Our workshop is for students, enthusiasts and anyone excited about making their own chip.
David Atienza presented "SwissChips: IC Design for All in Switzerland" at DATE 2025
We were at DATE 2025 and participated in the Panel: Improving Chip Design Enablement for Universities in Europe, which brought together stakeholders of different initiatives from Europe and the USA working towards these goals. The panel explored the critical challenges, opportunities, and potential strategies facing chip design enablement in European academic institutions. David Atienza discussed SwissChips and support for IC design in Switzerland.
Paper on "Scalable and RISC-V Programmable Near-Memory Computing Architectures for Edge Nodes"
Our recent paper proposes a novel, software-friendly, general-purpose, and low-integration-effort Near-Memory Computing (NMC) approach, paving the way for the adoption of CIM- based systems in the next generation of edge computing nodes.
SwissChips at the Swiss Semiconductor Day 2025
We participated in the first Swiss Semiconductor Day on March 7, 2025 at Switzerland's Innovation Park Innovaare. The event brought together 100 leading experts from the Swiss semiconductor industry, creating a unique networking platform to help shape the future of the Swiss semiconductor industry.
